Cyanotype in motion

At the crossroads of painting and photography, Mathilde de l'Ecotais composes in her darkroom by painting directly onto the emulsion of iron and cyanide, which, when mixed, becomes photosensitive. She then places negatives on top and exposes them, allowing the light to imprint its signature. Each print is unique, the result of a subtle balance between mastery of time, gesture, and letting go.
His gesture evokes nature itself: at once technical and unpredictable, rigorous and free.
